The 57 Babylone project is an ambitious architectural initiative led by the firm Loci Anima, headed by Françoise Raynaud, located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. This project involves transforming the former hemicycle of the Île-de-France regional headquarters, situated at 57 Rue de Babylone, into a Cinema Cultural Center (CCC). This center will be dedicated to cinematic creation, education, research, and innovation, and will include two screening rooms, exhibition spaces, a café-restaurant, a bookstore, a concept store, as well as reception and event spaces.
This project aligns with the complete reconfiguration of the La Pagode cinema, a classified Historic Monument, also undertaken by Loci Anima. The goal is to create a coherent and innovative cultural hub, blending heritage and modernity, in the heart of the historic Rue de Babylone neighborhood.
The 57 Babylone aims to become a meeting place for cinema enthusiasts, industry professionals, and the general public, offering a space dedicated to the dissemination, reflection, and experimentation of cinema.
