In 2011, the architecture firm Loci Anima was commissioned to renovate the Marignan cinema, located on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris. The project aimed to modernize the spaces while respecting the historic and prestigious character of the building dating back to the 1930s.
Loci Anima brought its expertise in bioclimatic architecture and interior design, proposing a subtle renovation that optimizes natural light and improves the acoustic and thermal comfort of the auditoriums. The firm also worked on enhancing the circulation and common areas, creating a smooth flow for the audience.
This renovation preserved the soul of the cinema while integrating modern equipment, offering a renewed cinematic experience and maintaining the venue as a cultural landmark at the heart of Paris.
