The “Dragon” project by Loci Anima is a dynamic architectural endeavor that integrates multiple functions—housing, offices, retail spaces, and parking—into a single, cohesive structure. The building’s design is characterized by its serpentine form, which rises to create open ground-level spaces, enhancing public accessibility and interaction. The western-facing “head” of the dragon features expansive planted terraces, offering residents panoramic views of the city and its landmarks. At street level, the permeable design fosters a seamless connection between those who live, work, and visit the area, promoting a vibrant urban environment.

At the crossroads of mobility and urban development in Nantes, the Dragon EuroNantes 1G unveils a bold, almost mythical silhouette. This landmark building takes its name from its dynamic and expressive form: like a dragon coiled between the railway tracks and the city, it rises with strength while freeing up large open spaces at ground level.
Conceived as a powerful architectural statement, it brings together housing, offices, shops, and shared spaces in a single entity. Each function fits into a sculpted, flowing volume animated by generous terraces, multiple viewpoints, and a facade that ripples under the effect of sunshades.
Located on the edge of Nantes station, the project plays a strategic role in the regeneration of this city gateway. It asserts a contemporary architecture committed to both ecological and urban values, combining bio-based materials, high energy performance, and green continuity. A flagship figure for a new chapter of the city.
