The Corail Housing project in Nanterre, designed by the architectural firm Loci Anima led by Françoise Raynaud, represents an innovative approach to urban residential design. Delivered in 2015, the development spans 11,607 m² and includes 172 units divided between home ownership and social housing, commissioned by Bouygues Immobilier and EPADESA.
A Green Oasis in a Dense Urban Context
Located at the crossroads of several major traffic routes, the building offers a green haven in the heart of the city. Its rooftop gardens, planted façades, and lushly landscaped ground floor provide a natural buffer against urban noise while enhancing residents’ well-being.
Fluid and Organic Architecture
The architecture is characterized by rounded shapes and sculpted volumes, reminiscent of coral — hence the project’s name. This organic design ensures a harmonious integration into the urban fabric and establishes a strong visual identity.
A Commitment to Sustainability
The project incorporates sustainable solutions such as rainwater harvesting and the use of bio-based materials. These choices reflect Loci Anima’s dedication to environmentally responsible architecture.
Corail Housing showcases Loci Anima’s ability to deliver projects that merge aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability—actively contributing to the positive transformation of Nanterre’s urban landscape.
