Oz Tower, tour Arago

The Tour Arago, also known as the Oz Tower, is an ambi­tious pro­ject desi­gned by the firm Loci Anima for the La Défense dis­trict in Puteaux, near Paris. Although this pro­ject was not rea­li­zed, it reflects the agency’s inno­va­tive vision of urban archi­tec­ture.

The concept of Tour Arago is roo­ted in the desire to rein­ter­pret the rela­tion­ship bet­ween modern skys­cra­pers and Paris’s his­to­ric axis, nota­bly the ali­gn­ment bet­ween the Louvre and La Défense. The tower is desi­gned as a lumi­nous prism, evo­king a rain­bow, which cap­tures and reflects light while inte­gra­ting har­mo­niously into the urban land­scape.

A poe­tic and lumi­nous vision
Tour Arago is dis­tin­gui­shed by its slen­der sil­houette and trans­lucent façade, which cap­tures natu­ral light and creates plays of sha­dows and reflec­tions throu­ghout the day. This design aims to bring a poe­tic and orga­nic touch to the often aus­tere and mine­ral urban land­scape of La Défense.

This pro­ject illus­trates Loci Anima’s abi­lity to design buil­dings that com­bine func­tio­na­lity, aes­the­tics, and envi­ron­men­tal res­pect, while embra­cing sus­tai­na­bi­lity and urban inte­gra­tion.
