Zen Atalante, Rennes

Zen Atalante is a new-build deve­lop­ment com­pri­sing two office buil­dings, Zen I and Zen II, in a rapidly chan­ging area north-east of Rennes, in the ZAC ​‘Atalante Viasilva’.
The tried-and-tes­ted tool of the office bar is split up, sec­tio­ned and re-arran­ged to dyna­mi­cally find its place in the site. This layout allows for a less mas­sive, more human scale of construc­tion. It creates visual poro­sity, and enhances the ​“signal” gables, visible from the site’s two main roads. These mul­tiple orien­ta­tions allow users to bene­fit from a maxi­mum of natu­ral light and views, while pre­ser­ving the omni­pre­sence of a conti­nuous land­sca­ped area.
